The South Gallery (S258) is the Art Department gallery space in which we hold six regular art exhibits each year. These
include faculty, student, visiting artist, and occasional alumni shows (see the Events Calendarfor a complete schedule).
The gallery is centrally located within the Art Department and is considered vitally important to student enrichment and experience. Exposure to the work of other artists helps inspire students and provide a context for the learning occurring within our studio courses. Exhibiting artists are invited to discuss their work in the gallery space. These events provide our students with a critical insight into the process of the artist and provide the opportunity to address questions they may have concerning the work.
The South Gallery is a three-walled open space with a floor area of approx. 1560 sq. feet. The rear wall is 49' x 8'; the left side wall is 18' x 8' and the right side wall is 23' x 8'.
The South Gallery is open to the public during the college's normal hours of operation:
Monday - Friday, 8am - 6pm
Saturday, 10am - 6pm
Questions concerning gallery exhibits may be addressed to the gallery coordinator,
