Scholarships
The Business Department uses a single Business Program Related Scholarship Application to enable Business majors to apply for all of these scholarships at once.

The Barbara Hannon Bourne Award (1-2 awards totaling $1,200)
The Barbara Hannon Bourne Award was established by the Hannons in memory of their daughter to provide a scholarship for an outstanding student in a Business-related major. Recipients must be Franklin County residents.
Richard L. Holbrook Jr. Scholarship (1 award for $600)
The Richard Holbrook Scholarship was established to provide one scholarship to a student who has interest in pursuing a business-related degree and has successfully completed at least one semester. The recipient of this scholarship must have a strong academic record and financial need. The award will be used to help pay the student’s tuition and fees, with the amount sent directly to the GCC Business Office.
William and Patricia Jolicoeur Scholarship (1-2 awards totaling $1,150)
The Jolicoeur Scholarship was established to provide two scholarships to second-year students who have interest in pursuing a business-related degree and have successfully completed at least two semesters. This award requires that the recipients have some exposure to free-market economic theory during the course of their education at GCC. The award will be used to help pay the student’s tuition and fees, with the amount sent directly to the GCC Business Office.
Russel B. Wilkes Memorial Scholarship (1 award for $750)
The Russel B. Wilkes Memorial Scholarship was established by gifts from friends of Russel B. Wilkes and by funds from the Greenfield Community College Foundation to honor Mr. Wilkes, a director of the Greenfield Community College Foundation. This award is to be given to a student based on his or her interest in an area of business. The candidate is to be a full-time student studying in the Business and Information Technology Department. Candidates must have applied for financial aid.
Kennametal-Greenfield Dennis Greene Business/Marketing Scholarship (1 award for $1,000)
Given in memory of Dennis Greene, it is made on the basis of general scholarship, excellence in business, marketing, promise, and achievement and personal goals.
