Thank you for your interest in the Renewable Energy/Energy Efficiency Program at Greenfield Community College. Below is information about our Certificate in Renewable Energy/Energy Efficiency and the new Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts - Renewable Energy/Energy Efficiency Option available in the fall of 2009.
The RE/EE Certificate is a 28 credit course of study which can be completed in one year when enrolled full time. The Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts - Renewable Energy/Energy Efficiency Option degree combines the 28-credit RE/EE certificate program with courses that satisfy the Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts Degree .
For more information on the Certificate or the AA Degree please visit: http://www.gcc.mass.edu/departments/science/renewable_energy.html. This site has course descriptions and information on the certificate and degree, as well as the Renewable Energy/Energy Efficiency program in general.
- If you would like to enroll as a student for the certificate or the degree, your next step would be to email admissions at http://www.gcc.mass.edu/admission/apply.html or call (413) 775-1801. You will be assigned an advisor who will help you map out your course sequence and register for classes.
- If you do not want to earn the certificate or degree, you may take courses as a non-matriculated student but you still need to meet prerequisite requirements for the courses. Contact the registrar’s office at (413) 775-1801.
- GCC is invested in meeting the educational needs and interests of its community and is offering Community Education workshops in Renewable Energy/Energy Efficiency that are credit free. These are available and open to the public on a first come/first serve basis and there is a fee for the classes. View upcoming classes.
- Students who currently work in the construction or RE/EE sector may take courses either for credit or credit-free. Courses listed with a CSW offer a credit-free option.
